Nichelle A. Cole is the Executive Director for Nash Edgecombe Wilson Community Action, Inc(NEW, CA). and is originally from Goldsboro, North Carolina. Ms. Cole earned her Bachelors Degree and Masters of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University. Prior to joining NEW CA, Inc., Ms. Cole joined the Office of Economic Opportunity as a Community Services Block Grant Program Analyst. Before assuming the role as Executive Director Ms. Cole was the Head Start Director for NEW, CA, Inc. and was also Regional Head Start Coordinator with Telamon Corporation where some of her key responsibilities and accomplishments included leading the accreditation process for multiple centers; interpretation of federal performance standards; ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations; data analysis, assessment, and planning activities.

Stephanie has worked in the Community Action Network for over 27 years. She started her career at Coastal Community Action, Inc. located in Newport, NC as a Wraparound Teacher, then progressed into the roles of Teacher Assistant, Family Development Specialist, Community Services Block Grant Director, and now the Director of Programs for Passage Home, Inc. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Arts Education degree through Ashford University.

Nicole Gretz is the Self-Sufficiency Coach at Macon Program for Progress, where she has been contributing since January 2024. In this role, she focuses on empowering individuals and families to achieve their goals, leveraging her expertise in case management and her passion for community development. With extensive Case Management Training, an Associate’s Degree in Arts, a Certificate in Early Childhood Education, and administrative credentials, Nicole is equipped with a well-rounded skill set to support diverse populations.
Nicole's educational journey has taken her to Southwestern Community College, The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, and Southern University and A&M College, where she developed a lifelong passion for learning. Her career has included numerous customer service roles across various industries, showcasing her adaptability and quick learning abilities.
Nicole has made ROMA a personal mission, ensuring its full integration into her agency. As of February 2025, she has been a key ROMA inspirer, driving Community Needs Assessment updates, Strategic Planning, and the implementation of ROMA principles. She has played a vital role in aligning the Strategic Plan with actionable steps and assigning Implementers to advance its goals.
Committed to professional growth and community service, Nicole attends job fairs at local colleges and high schools, forging connections between educational institutions and her agency. Looking ahead, she aims to take on the pivotal role of ROMA Implementer at her organization, a position that will allow her to bridge resources and services within her community. Her ultimate goal is to help lift her community out of poverty by fostering self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
As a dedicated lifelong learner, Nicole is always seeking new knowledge and opportunities to improve her impact. She aspires to be a guiding light within her agency, inspiring positive change in the lives of those she serves.

I have worked as a success coach/case manager with YVEDDI since 2011, and prior to that I worked in the mental health field. I was certified ROMA Trainer but when i got NCRI certification in 2019 I am no longer doing training.

Latasha Lovette serves as the CSBG Director at the Welfare Reform Liaison Project (WRLP), where she leads initiatives focused on empowering individuals and families toward self-sufficiency. With a strong commitment to community action, she oversees programs that provide workforce development, housing stability, and supportive services to low-income residents across Guilford County.
In her role, Latasha works closely with local, state, and federal partners to ensure compliance, strengthen service delivery, and expand opportunities for those most in need. She has played a key role in navigating funding challenges, aligning organizational strategies with Results-Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) principles, and maintaining a focus on measurable outcomes and impact.
Latasha is known for her collaborative leadership style and her ability to balance operational oversight with a people-centered approach. She is passionate about advocating for underserved populations, particularly in the areas of housing, employment, and family stability.
